Job Description:
Seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to provide direct comprehensive nursing care for patients in the Labor and Delivery department at Baptist Health Floyd. This PRN (Work as Needed) position requires a minimum of 1 year RN experience and a current Indiana or compact state RN license. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Labor and Delivery and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Key responsibilities include providing direct patient care, collaborating with the healthcare team, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.

About the Department:

Labor and Delivery is a dynamic department with eight labor and delivery suites, two triage bays, two operating rooms, and two recovery bays with wireless monitoring capabilities. The department offers natural birthing options, including nitrous oxide, laboring tubs, and birthing balls. With an average of 1,000 births annually, this is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team that makes a difference in the lives of new families.

Qualifications:
Current Indiana or compact state RN license
BLS for Healthcare Providers required
NRP certification required (obtained within 6 months of hire)
ACLS certification required (obtained within 6 months of hire)
S.T.A.B.L.E certification required (obtained within 12 months of hire)
Previous L&D nursing experience preferred
Minimum of 2 years' experience in Labor and Delivery to be eligible for PRN
