Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Lead Educator to join our team at the Kiddie Academy of Swedesboro. As a key member of our staff, you will provide essential support to our Lead Teachers in delivering high-quality educational programs for young children.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will work closely with our Lead Teachers to prepare materials, interact with students, and supervise projects, ensuring a safe and engaging learning environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide classroom support to Lead Teachers, including preparation of materials and supervision of student activities.
  • Assist with daily management and supervision of the classroom and children, as directed by the Lead Teacher.
  • Develop plans and prepare instructional aids and materials for classroom activities, as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to NAEYC guidelines.
  • Ensure physical and emotional needs of children are met daily.
  • Support implementation of policies and procedures to ensure child health and safety.
  • Assist with preparation and implementation of classroom lesson plans, programs, and schedules.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork, including daily notes, accident reports, and attendance records.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (Preferred).
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 18 years of age or older.
  • Meet state and local licensing requirements for the position.
  • Pass a background check and meet medical requirements.
  • 1+ year of experience in teaching or childcare (Preferred).
