Respiratory Manager Job Opportunity

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Manager to lead our Respiratory Care team in delivering high-quality patient care, managing resources, and promoting a positive work environment in a hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Respiratory Therapy, excellent leadership and communication skills, and the ability to make strategic decisions to drive results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster a culture of excellence by promoting collaboration, teamwork, and open communication among team members
  • Develop and implement effective plans to manage resources, achieve budgetary goals, and improve patient outcomes
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and recognition to team members to enhance their skills and performance
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and quality care
  • Collaborate with medical staff and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic patient care and address complex needs
  • Develop and maintain equipment management programs to ensure safe and effective operation of respiratory care equipment
  • Make informed staffing decisions based on workload and patient needs to ensure optimal care delivery
  • Assist in preparing capital equipment and operations budgets to support departmental goals

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy, Business, or related healthcare field
  • Basic Life Support certification
  • NBRC Registered Respiratory Care Practitioner certification
  • Respiratory Therapist - Active Oregon State RT License
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in Respiratory Care in a hospital setting with critical care experience
  • Minimum 1 year experience (2+ years preferred) as a supervisor
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills
  • Familiarity with hospital ethics and protocols, departmental procedures, and policies
  • Competence in operating respiratory care equipment and performing associated procedures
  • Understanding of management philosophies and demonstration of leadership skills and exceptional clinical skills
  • In-depth knowledge of Joint Commission requirements relative to Respiratory Care and commitment to excellence
