Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow to deliver key content in SFBU's Masters of Business Administration, Masters of Science in Business Analytics, Graduate Certificate in Business Management, and Bachelors of Science in Business, as well as contribute to our integrated and innovative core curriculum. The successful candidate will contribute and ensure an innovative, high-quality, student-centric education in business as well as the core curriculum, combining academic expertise with real-world, practical experience.

Responsibilities
  • Teach 7 courses per year, with classes capped at 20 students per course.
  • Enhance the national and international reputation of SFBU through conference presentations, research publications, whitepapers, and other peer-reviewed dissemination of scholarship.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on the development of the core curriculum and assure industry alignment with all curricula in business.
  • Provide support to students, fostering their holistic growth, wellness, academic success, and career readiness.
  • Implement innovative and inclusive teaching best practices that reflect our core value of providing access and inclusion to a diverse student body.
  • Foster student engagement through collaboration with practitioners, organizations, and community/industry professionals.
  • Active engagement in course and program-level assessment design, data collection, review, and reporting.
Requirements
  • Ph.D. or D.B.A. in Business, Management, Finance, Leadership, or a related field (ABD considered).
  • Demonstrated teaching experience and a commitment to excellence in pedagogy.
  • A passion for mentoring and guiding students in their academic and professional growth.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, students, and community partners.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in education and practice.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in curriculum development.
Salary and Benefits

The starting salary is $85,000-$95,000/year with a 12-month initial contract renewable contingent upon performance review.
