Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will engage with a broad spectrum of clients, ranging from dynamic startups to affluent families, and will be involved in various accounting and tax initiatives. Responsibilities include:

  • Preparation and comprehension of financial statements.
  • Analysis of key performance indicators and effective communication of financial outcomes.
  • Preparation of business, individual, and trust income tax returns.
  • Research and analysis of intricate tax matters.
  • Assistance with complex merger and acquisition activities.
  • Response to standard tax inquiries.

Candidate Profile
We are looking for candidates who can manage multiple tasks, respond to challenging client demands, and excel in a fast-paced environment. The following qualifications are essential:

  • Accounting degree from an accredited institution.
  • CPA designation or progress towards obtaining CPA certification.
  • Previous accounting experience through full-time roles, with a strong interest in accounting and taxation.
  • Demonstrated understanding of transactional accounting and the ability to prepare GAAP-compliant financial reports.
  • Proficiency in accounting and tax software such as Quickbooks, Intacct, Prosystem FX, and/or CCH Axcess Tax is highly preferred.
  • Proven ability to self-manage, prioritize tasks, and interface with clients effectively.
  • A strong work ethic paired with a positive, collaborative demeanor.
  • Self-motivated and capable of thriving in both independent and team-oriented settings.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
