Job Overview

Responsibilities
  • Maintain proper sterile technique and protocols to prevent infection and contamination.
  • Proactively distribute all necessary equipment and instrumentation for surgeries and procedures, ensuring seamless workflow and efficiency.
  • Collect and sort used and contaminated equipment, instruments, and supplies for decontamination and sterilization.
  • Accurately handle and care for instruments, including selection of cleaning agents, identification, and assembly.
  • Prepare and pack decontaminated supplies for sterilization, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot sterilization equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Maintain consistency and continuous workflow between operating rooms, ensuring timely delivery of essential equipment and supplies.
  • Restock surgical inventory, ensuring adequate supplies for upcoming procedures.
Requirements
  • High School degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of Central Supply, Sterile Processing, or veterinary experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask, with excellent time management skills.
  • The ability to lift up to 40 lbs. unassisted.
  • Emotionally intelligent and able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Critical thinking skills and ability to make sound decisions.
  • Comfortable using computers and software applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
