Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate MRI Scanners: You will be responsible for operating MRI scanners to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
  • Position Patients: You will correctly position patients for the examination and make technical adjustments necessary for the required examination.
  • Perform Technical Adjustments: You will perform technical adjustments necessary for the required examination, including setting up patients and performing necessary adjustments and patient position as prescribed by the Diagnostic Radiologist or senior MRI Technologist.
  • Interpret Images: You will review MRI images for quality control, contrast, density, detail, and adequate demonstration of anatomy and positioning, adjusting technique and equipment to best present the medically significant aspects found if unanticipated conditions or anomalies are discovered.
  • Communicate with Patients: You will communicate clearly and frequently with the patient while in the scanner, issue vocal instructions as needed for functional MRI tasks, and maintain patient comfort during the scan to minimize movement.
  • Maintain Equipment: You will maintain and clean MRI equipment regularly by MTF policy and procedures, and IAW JC guidelines.
  • Document Procedures: You will document all procedures and maintain records by MTF policy.
  • Collaborate with Radiologists: You will work collaboratively with radiologists to ensure that images are of high quality and meet the required standards.
Requirements:
  • Education: You must have a degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
  • Certifications: You must have current registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a Registered MR Technologist (R.T.MR (ARRT)).
  • Experience: You must have at least 3 years of experience as an MRI Technologist with a minimum of 3 years of full-time experience.
  • Skills: You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
