Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our team at Visa. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our enterprise-wide systems infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain Windows 2012, 2016, 2019, and CORE servers and related software packages.
  • Administer ESXi, vSphere systems, and support critical applications to ensure stability and uptime.
  • Manage and support third-party monitoring and automation tools, including Netcool, Splunk, BMC Patrol, Opnet, BMC Blade logic, BMC BAO, and Ansible.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure building blocks based on reference architectures and standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues and improve infrastructure efficiency.
  • Document and maintain system architecture, configuration, and interface knowledge to resolve issues effectively.
  • Participate in service improvement meetings and provide recommendations for process improvements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in Windows, Hyper-V, VMware Systems Administration.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Experience with scripting languages, including PowerShell, Python, Perl, and Power CLI.
  • Knowledge of ITIL v4 processes, including Incident, Change, Problem, and Release Management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Additional Information:

  • This is a hybrid position, requiring 2-3 days of office work per week.
  • Travel requirements: 5-10% of the time.
  • Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting, requiring sitting, standing, and communication.
