About the Role

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive animal health care programs.
  • Lead a team of veterinary technicians, assistants, and other shelter staff.
  • Provide expert advice on animal behavior and welfare.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or Veterinary Medical Doctor (VMD) degree from an accredited university.
  • Active Tennessee license to practice veterinary medicine.
  • Valid DEA controlled substances registration.
  • Valid class 'D' driver's license.
