About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our school-based team in Fairfield, OH. This full-time position provides an opportunity to work with students from birth to 21 years old, supporting their speech, language, and communication development.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position starts at $45 per hour for fully qualified candidates, with potential increases based on experience and performance. Job Responsibilities

  • Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify speech, language, and communication needs, including AAC requirements.
  • AAC Expertise: Develop and implement AAC interventions and strategies, training students and staff on device usage.
  • Individualized Plans: Create and deliver therapy plans tailored to each student's needs, ensuring alignment with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and goals.
  • Direct Therapy Services: Provide therapy sessions, both one-on-one and in group settings, to support student progress.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with families, teachers, and other school staff to ensure students receive the support they need.
  • Progress Monitoring: Regularly track and document student progress, adapting therapy plans as necessary to meet evolving needs.
  • Advocacy and Education: Act as a resource for staff and families, promoting awareness of speech and language challenges and AAC solutions.

Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Ohio Speech-Language Pathology license.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred.
  • Experience in school-based settings and working with children ages birth to 21.
  • Strong background and hands-on experience with AAC devices and strategies.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
