Faculty Position in Accounting

The School of Business and Technology at Holy Family University invites applications for a full-time faculty appointment at the Assistant/Associate Professor level in accounting. This position will involve teaching undergraduate courses in accounting and business, as well as contributing to the development and evaluation of the undergraduate curricula in accounting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in the development and evaluation of the undergraduate curricula in accounting.
  • Teach in-person and online courses in accounting and business.
  • Develop, teach, and evaluate assigned courses.
  • Serve as a faculty advisor to students in business majors.
  • Assume responsibility for serving as course coordinator as appropriate.
  • Participate in school and university affairs, community activities, and professional organizations.
  • Formulate and implement a plan of teaching, scholarship, and service.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuing education and professional development.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Accounting or a related field is required. A doctoral degree is preferred.
  • Professional certification (CPA, CMA, or similar) is required.
  • Practical experience in accounting or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous teaching experience at a college or university level is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated expertise in accounting principles, financial analysis, taxation, auditing, and managerial accounting is required.
  • Experience with instructional technology and online learning platforms is desirable.
