The Role
We are currently in search of a Field Service Engineer based in a remote capacity. This position entails traveling across various regions to provide essential services to our clients. The role includes the provision of a company vehicle, gas card, mobile phone, and laptop, with all vehicle maintenance covered.
The Responsibilities
- Install, operate, maintain, repair, and modify electromechanical systems, primarily in a field setting. Address technical issues and system challenges effectively.
- Identify technical solutions based on product and customer specifications, advising both company and customer representatives on the best course of action.
- Conduct thorough technical evaluations of product implementations and enhancements in line with customer requirements.
- Assess customer needs and propose solutions that align with product specifications.
- Provide technical training and product briefings to customers and stakeholders as necessary. Serve as the primary on-site representative for customer organizations. Manage all responsibilities within the assigned territory, including preventive maintenance and upgrades.
- Oversee parts management, online training, and administrative reporting.
- Complete additional work-related tasks as assigned.

Required:
- Education: An Associate's degree in Electronics or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent military or field service experience.
- Experience: At least 4 years of experience in the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of electromechanical equipment, preferably in a field context.
- Must be a self-motivated team player with the ability to communicate effectively with peers, sales teams, and customers.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
- Possess the necessary technical knowledge to perform job functions competently in electro-mechanical, chemistry, and computer-related fields.
- Ability to manage workload efficiently within set timeframes.
- Must be capable of lifting up to 75 lbs.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Willingness to travel overnight 50-75% for training and up to 75% post-training within the assigned territory.
- Experience in the Healthcare or Medical Device industry.
Internal Partners:
- Field Service: Collaborate with Field Service Engineer Associates, Senior Engineers, and Service Managers.
- Sales: Work alongside Area Sales Directors and Account Managers.
- Technical Specialists and Support Teams.
- Engage with other departments as required (e.g., Finance, HR, IT).
- Engage with customers, including Laboratory Managers and Supervisors.
This role typically involves a flexible work schedule with overtime in a field engineering environment. Candidates must demonstrate discipline and self-motivation to work independently from a home office. The position requires various physical abilities, including the capacity to travel extensively and lift significant weights.

The salary range for this position reflects various factors, including education, experience, and geographic location. Compensation decisions are based on individual circumstances.
