About the Position

RH2 Engineering is seeking an entry-level Electrical Staff Engineer for our Bothell, WA location.

This position involves working with clients and staff in the planning, designing, and construction of projects in RH2's areas of expertise.

The successful candidate will perform work with oversight from a Project Engineer or Project Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Learning to use professional concepts
  • Collecting data and gathering information or documents
  • Performing basic computations or analyses
  • Observing project activities
  • Preparing base maps from survey drawings
  • Performing basic field observations with supervision from Project Engineer/Project Manager
  • Updating engineering reports, drawings, figures, and other visual aids based on reviews provided by Project Engineer/Project Manager
  • Gaining on-the-job training and experience with engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil3D, GIS, MathCAD, Finite Element Analysis, hydraulic modeling programs, Rocscience, and/or Civiltech AllPile and Shoring Suite
  • Applying company policies and procedures
  • Working collaboratively both in-person and remotely with teams in multiple offices
Requirements
  • Internship experience in a similar environment is highly preferred
  • Strong desire to work in public sector consulting with focus on water, wastewater, transportation, irrigation, and stormwater planning and design projects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to respond and adapt to changing project needs and schedules
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and with multiple Project Managers at the same time
  • This position has no ongoing employee supervisory responsibilities
Education and Certifications
  • Bachelor of Science or higher degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
  • Ability to obtain Engineer-In-Training certification within 1 year required; completed Engineer‐In‐Training certification highly preferred
  • Ability to obtain P.E. license with 4 to 5 years of experience
Compensation and Benefits

Individual compensation will vary within the following range based on a candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience as they relate to the requirements for this position $37.00-$42.00.
