About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Civil Litigation Paralegal to join our team at Haynes Law, P.A. As a key member of our litigation team, you will play a critical role in managing case files, drafting legal documents, and coordinating discovery. Your expertise in civil litigation and personal injury cases will be invaluable in helping us achieve successful case outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and file pleadings, motions, and other legal documents with precision and attention to detail.
  • Assist in drafting and responding to discovery requests, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
  • Coordinate depositions, mediations, and hearings, ensuring seamless communication with clients and opposing counsel.
  • Manage case files and maintain organized case documentation, ensuring easy access to critical information.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and summarize findings for attorneys, providing actionable insights to inform case strategy.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel, building strong relationships and ensuring successful case outcomes.
  • Assist attorneys in trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and witness preparation, to ensure a strong and compelling case.
  • Review and summarize medical records for personal injury cases, providing critical information to inform case strategy.
  • Assist in drafting settlement agreements and managing lien resolutions, ensuring timely and fair resolutions.

Requirements

  • Experience as a civil litigation paralegal, with a focus on personal injury and Section 1983 cases.
  • Strong knowledge of civil litigation processes and court procedures, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a proven track record of managing multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Proficient in legal research and drafting, with a strong understanding of relevant laws and regulations.
  • Strong communication skills and client-facing experience, with a focus on building strong relationships and ensuring successful case outcomes.
  • Familiarity with legal software, including MyCase, a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and teamwork.
