Key Responsibilities- Capture and record significant news events.
- Practice ethical journalism and adhere to industry standards.
- Gather essential news facts and craft compelling narratives, whether working independently or alongside a reporter.
- Meet daily deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Edit video content for both broadcast and online platforms.
- Manage the daily operation of all ENG equipment, including cameras, editing gear, audio, lighting, and microwave technology.
- Monitor and understand relevant government and public service radio frequencies.
- Operate motor vehicles and live broadcasting trucks.
- Contribute to social media coverage to enhance audience engagement.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a news photographer.
- High school diploma or equivalent certification is required.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Valid driver's license is mandatory.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime, as needed.
- Ability to work any shift within a 24/7 operation.
- Submission of a reel or portfolio showcasing previous work is encouraged.
- Strong understanding of non-linear editing and HD photography technology.
- Familiarity with Panasonic P2 Cameras is advantageous.
- Exceptional visual storytelling capabilities.
- Knowledge of social media platforms and their impact on news dissemination.
- Proficient in broadcast writing and editing.
- Experience with Dalet Galaxy or similar editing software.
- Education in broadcast communications, journalism, or photography is preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- High level of professionalism and integrity.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.
This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.
