Dental Hygienist: Per Diem Opportunity

The Open Door Health Center is seeking a skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team on a per diem basis. As a Dental Hygienist at our organization, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Assess Patient Needs: Conduct thorough assessments of patient dental needs, including medical history review, x-rays, and dental charting.
- Deliver Direct Care: Provide direct dental care to patients, including routine treatment procedures such as prophylaxis, x-rays, and application of sealants and fluorides.
- Provide Education and Support: Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide support to help them achieve optimal oral health.
- Collaborate with Team Members: Work collaboratively with dentists, dental assistants, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Maintain Accurate Records: Accurately document patient information and treatment plans in our electronic record system.
- Dental Hygiene Degree: Hold a diploma or degree in Dental Hygiene and be registered/licensed in Minnesota as a dental hygienist.
- Experience and Skills: Possess proven ability to assess patient dental needs and deliver high-quality care. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
- Cultural Competence: Be able to work effectively with a diverse population of patients and colleagues.
