Job Overview

We are currently seeking a Prepress Technician to become a vital part of our Small Format team. In this role, you will collaborate with a skilled group to produce high-quality printed materials for our clients. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Verifying that electronic files and layouts include all necessary elements.
  • Preparing files to align with the designer's vision.
  • Ensuring files are print-ready and meet production standards.
  • Utilizing programming software and Adobe Creative Suite to manipulate and analyze files.
  • Identifying opportunities for process enhancements and streamlining workflows using PitStop software.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Qualifications:

  • A High School diploma or GED is required.
  • An Associate degree in graphic arts is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Prior experience in prepress for print production is essential.
  • Experience with large format and mailing processes is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Adobe products used for premedia setup is necessary.

  • Strong computer skills, particularly in Adobe Creative Suite and Google Suite.

  • Check files and layouts for necessary components, ensuring color accuracy and resolution.
  • Prepare files to reflect the original design intent.
  • Ensure print readiness by imposing files correctly to maximize substrate yield.
  • Document and name files appropriately, converting them to printer-compatible formats.
  • Utilize computer systems for data entry and information processing.
  • Adhere to company protocols and procedures.
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
