Job Description

As an embedded systems architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing firmware that meets the highest standards of safety, reliability, and performance. Your work will play a critical role in the aircraft's flight control system, ensuring seamless integration with various sensors, control systems, and navigation components.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing software and firmware for sensors, control systems, communications, and navigation
  • Improving testing automation, software quality, data collection, analysis, and validation
  • Debugging issues in production, determining root causes, and applying timely fixes
  • Assisting in flight testing, both locally and at remote sites
Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • At least 4 years of professional experience in firmware development, with a strong background in C/C++, Python, and ARM microcontrollers
  • Hands-on experience through employment, student teams, or co-op internships
  • Familiarity with real-time systems, Linux development, and low-level communication protocols (CAN, SPI, I2C, UART)
  • Experience with control systems, robotics, and/or sensors
Compensation and Benefits
