Job Summary

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care to ambulatory patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, and develop and implement plans to address these needs.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients' responses to these interventions.
  • Document patient care and outcomes in a timely and accurate manner, and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote excellent patient care.
  • Stay current with advances in nursing practice and healthcare technology, and apply this knowledge to improve patient outcomes and enhance the quality of care.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Rhode Island.
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • At least one year of experience in ambulatory care nursing, with a focus on patient-centered care and collaboration with healthcare teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements

This position is located in the Ambulatory Care department at Rhode Island Hospital, and requires the ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team-based setting, and will be able to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
