POSITION SUMMARY:

The role involves operating medium trucks with trailers to facilitate the transportation of personnel and goods across designated routes, whether local or long-distance, in accordance with established guidelines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Safely maneuvers vehicles with trailers to deliver cargo and personnel as per specified routes.
  • Ensures proper loading and securing of cargo, adhering to all regulatory standards and vehicle limitations.
  • Conducts routine inspections and maintenance on assigned vehicles and associated equipment.
  • Completes additional tasks as required by operational support needs.
  • Demonstrates the ability to understand detailed instructions and arrive at designated pick-up or drop-off locations punctually.
  • Navigates using GPS or traditional maps, including military grid references when necessary.
  • Operates vehicles safely across diverse road conditions, including challenging terrains.
  • Utilizes mobile radio communication effectively.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Familiarity with standard military terminology and radio communication protocols.
  • Possession of a valid Class D Chauffeur's License or higher is mandatory.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of 12 months of driving experience with a Class D Chauffeur's License or higher.
  • Advanced knowledge of military terminology and radio communication practices.
  • Ability to obtain a secret security clearance is desirable.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Willingness to travel independently within the continental US and internationally.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening and comply with random drug testing policies.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and maintain good physical fitness for outdoor work.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.
  • Employment is contingent upon a successful background check.
