As a vital member of our team at Carrie Rikon & Associates, LLC, you will be responsible for the strategic procurement and efficient delivery of wine and spirits products. Collaborating closely with the Senior Director of Purchasing and other Senior Buyers, you will contribute to achieving the company's objectives while managing supply chain and inventory for active promotional categories.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procure products to align with anticipated demand.
  • Negotiate optimal product costs, ensuring quality and service standards are met.
  • Adhere to established procurement policies and procedures.
  • Achieve inventory turnover goals while maintaining service levels and minimizing excess stock.

You will work cross-functionally with various departments to ensure seamless operations. Building and maintaining strong relationships with vendors, store operations, and distribution personnel is essential.

Additional Responsibilities Include:

  • Reviewing acquisition costs to ensure competitive pricing while considering quality and reliability.
  • Evaluating current inventory and market conditions to forecast order quantities effectively.
  • Conducting post-promotional analyses to assess the success of promotions and identify areas for improvement.
  • Resolving inventory discrepancies at the store level and analyzing reports to monitor key performance indicators.
  • Visiting stores as necessary to gather feedback and assess program effectiveness.
  • Managing Accounts Payable processes to ensure accurate invoicing.
  • Maintaining comprehensive departmental records and files.
  • Coordinating with Warehouse Operations to ensure timely product flow.
  • Utilizing remote access for procurement activities when required.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Purchasing or Vendor Management.
  • Preferred experience in Marketing/Logistics or a strong understanding of store operations.
  • Knowledge of beverage procurement, logistics, and inventory management practices.
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills with the ability to make informed decisions.
  • Strong planning and organizational capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to foster effective business relationships.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Able to maintain focus amidst frequent interruptions.
