As a key member of our team, the Finance Operations Manager will report directly to the Assistant Controller and will be instrumental in ensuring precise financial reporting for our expansive manufacturing operations. This role presents a chance to collaborate with a progressive team dedicated to continuous improvement while fostering a positive work environment.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
  • Oversight of accounts payable/receivable and general ledger functions.
  • Conducting and reviewing complex financial analyses, journal entries, and reconciliations.
  • Managing the month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Formulating and enforcing accounting policies and procedures to guarantee accurate financial reporting and compliance with internal controls.
  • Preparing for audits and coordinating with external auditors.
  • Collaborating with the Assistant Controller to supervise, train, and mentor the accounting team to enhance their effectiveness and professional development.
  • Ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local regulatory standards.
  • Leading initiatives aimed at improving the efficiency and accuracy of the accounting processes.
  • Handling additional financial projects as assigned.
  • Performing other duties as required.
Qualifications:
  • Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet stringent deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and advanced knowledge of accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory abilities.
  • Capacity to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with supervisory experience required.
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience, with a background in public accounting, or 5-7 years of industry experience without public accounting.
  • Experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
  • CPA designation is advantageous.
