Marine Construction Specialist

Summary
The marine construction specialist position is an essential role that requires a team player with a strong work ethic and ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.
The crew member will be responsible for performing various tasks including operating equipment, handling materials, and assisting in the construction and maintenance of marine vessels and structures.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a team, and have a strong commitment to safety and environmental regulations.
Responsibilities
• Ability to operate equipment and machinery safely and efficiently
• Assist in the construction and maintenance of marine vessels and structures
• Handle materials and equipment with care and attention to detail
• Work effectively in a team environment, taking direction and feedback from supervisors and colleagues
• Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to all relevant safety regulations and protocols
• Monitor job sites for hazards and take action to prevent accidents and injuries
• Perform other duties as assigned by management, including assisting in the development of safety procedures and protocols
Requirements
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in the marine industry
• Ability to take direction and work effectively in a team environment
• Strong commitment to safety and environmental regulations
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working with Alaska Native cultures
• Knowledge of marine construction and maintenance procedures
