Job Summary

This role is part of our Project Management Team, responsible for providing engineering and technical support at various job sites throughout the region. The ideal candidate will have experience in heavy civil construction or marine construction and be able to travel extensively.

Key Responsibilities

Develop project work element plans and JSAs
Coordinate project definable features of work with Manson superintendents, foremen, craft workers, and subcontractors
Conduct computer-aided drafting for analysis of lift equipment capabilities and depiction of work method sequencing
Create critical path schedules and 3-week look-ahead schedules
Review designs, drawings, and engineering data prepared by Manson consultants and vendors for conformance with project plans and specifications
Investigate and research needed permanent and consumable material items, equipment, and tools
Inspect newly delivered permanent materials for conformance with project requirements
Coordinate project activities with the client's representatives and other project stakeholders
Design falsework
Monitor Manson and its subcontractors' operations
Provide daily operations and quality control reporting
Maintain project photographic records
Offer general project support

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Coastal, Ocean, or Mechanical) or Construction Management
5 years of experience in heavy civil construction or marine construction
Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record
Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (FE) and current registration as an Engineer in Training (EIT) preferred
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) required
Experience with scheduling, estimating, and project management software (HCSS & Primavera) preferred

The employee must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) required of various construction work environments. The employee is required to stand, walk, use stairs, ladders, and step stools and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
