Our Board of Directors plays a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction, securing resources, and ensuring effective governance of Opus 1 Foundation, in collaboration with the Chief Executive Officer. Board members are expected to be strong advocates of our mission and committed to helping us achieve our strategic objectives.

Commitment Includes:

  • An initial one-year term as an Advisor, which may transition into a Board role with a three-year term, subject to mutual compatibility and performance.
  • Participation in Board meetings, both virtual and in-person.
  • Engagement in at least one committee.
  • A time commitment of approximately 10-15 hours per quarter.
  • A personal contribution or fundraising efforts to meet the organization's give/get requirements.

Qualifications

Opus 1 Foundation is at an exciting stage of growth, and we are seeking Board members who can help lead us through our next phase. Ideal candidates will have:

  • At least 7 years of strategic and leadership experience, preferably with board experience in national or international nonprofits based in the U.S.
  • A passion for using the arts as a tool for social change, aligning with Opus 1 Foundation's mission.
  • The ability to network and build a community of resources, including funding, expertise, and strategic partnerships.
