Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the surgical suite, providing high-quality patient care, and collaborating with the surgical team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the surgical team in preparing and maintaining a safe and efficient operating room environment.
  • Prepare and maintain sterile instruments and equipment for surgical procedures.
  • Assist surgeons and the surgical team in positioning patients for surgery and maintaining patient safety.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to maintain equipment and supplies for surgical procedures.
  • Respond to emergencies and changes in assignments, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-3 years of operating room experience preferred.
  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program through NBSTSA.
  • Certification exam must be taken and passed within 12 months of completion of surgical technologist program.
  • Working knowledge of the principles of body alignment and BLS training required.
  • Ability to communicate, read, and write English required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associates degree.
  • Bilingual preferred.
