Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Instrumentation Technician to join our team at BASF Corporation. As an Electrical Instrumentation Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting site instrumentation, control systems, and electrical equipment to ensure safe operation and maximum production availability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot site instrumentation, control systems, and electrical equipment
  • Complete required repairs and tasks to instruments, controls, and electrical systems in an efficient and timely manner
  • Work with process equipment programs, Ladder logic, computer skills, and pressure devices/DC VFD's
  • Install, repair, and maintain instrument and electrical equipment, including plant switch-gear installations, electrical and pneumatic systems
  • Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and computer logic to troubleshoot production problems and resolve them
  • Perform process control, sensing, and monitoring system calibrations, record keeping, and communicate any alterations to existing instrument (control, or electrical systems)
  • Recommend changes to existing instruments, controls, electrical systems, or equipment to improve reliability, accuracy, or further optimize processes
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience in I/E industrial maintenance
  • Related work experience reading loop sheets, electrical interconnect drawings, ladder logic drawings, equipment, and process instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs)
  • Knowledge of prevailing electrical codes
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule and occasionally overtime on nights and weekends
