Sutter Health is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director of Pharmacy to lead our Pharmacy Department. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for the overall strategic focus and operational planning for the activities and resources of the Pharmacy Department.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and administrative support in operations, budget planning, and high-cost pharmacy product purchases.
- Ensure optimal provision and coordination of services and resources and oversee implementation of patient medication safety strategies.
- Ensure utilization of best practice clinical programs and cost savings initiatives to operations and standardize processes where appropriate.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to improve pharmacy services and operations.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of pharmacy services.
- Doctorate: Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy.
- CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE: PHARMD-Licensed Pharmacist.
- TYPICAL EXPERIENCE: 12 years recent relevant experience.
This position may regularly work, store, prepare, receive, unpack, transport, dispose of, or administer drug(s) identified as hazardous, or potentially hazardous, by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) for purposes of USP 800.
