Emergency Medical Technician

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) / EMT-Paramedic to join our team at BAE Systems USA. As an EMT / EMT-P, you will play a critical role in promoting worker safety, managing injuries and illnesses, and helping to return workers to their duties in a respectful and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities- Act as one of the professional medical technicians at the shipyard, promoting worker safety and well-being.
- Assist in managing injuries and illnesses, and help return workers to their duties within your professional scope of care.
- Champion healthy work conditions in support of efforts to reduce or eliminate health hazards for employees.
- Assist in the administration of the company's Occupational Health and Safety program, ensuring compliance with Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
- Typically requires a High School Diploma (or the equivalent) plus a current EMT certification and 2 years experience in a related role.
- Experience working in an Emergency Room, Trauma, or related EMS environment.
- Flexibility required to support varying shifts as needed.
- Able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Biometric Identification System badge.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Computer skills to effectively work with Microsoft Office and industry-related software applications.
- Two (2) years recent EMS/ Trauma experience.
- Experience working in a shipyard environment helpful.
