About the Role

  • Assists surgeons and other medical staff in maintaining a safe and efficient surgical environment.
  • Prepares and sterilizes equipment and supplies for use in surgical procedures.
  • Maintains accurate records and reports to ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulations.
  • Collaborates with anesthesia, surgeons, and other staff members to provide high-quality patient care.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
  • Previous experience working in a perioperative setting, preferably as a surgical technologist.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate's degree or higher in surgical technology or a related field is preferred.
