Job Overview

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a highly skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team for a 13-week travel assignment. As a key member of the operating room team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of patient care.

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be responsible for preparing patients for surgery, maintaining a sterile environment, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.

In addition to your technical skills, you will possess a strong commitment to patient safety and well-being. You will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for surgery by positioning them correctly and ensuring all necessary equipment is available.
  • Maintain a sterile environment throughout the surgical procedure, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
  • Collaborate with anesthesiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Assist surgeons and other medical staff during procedures, providing additional support as needed.

Requirements
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
  • One to three years of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist, preferably in an operating room setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • BLS certification and a valid surgical technologist license (if applicable).
