Staffing Coordinator / Transportation

HC&N Healthcare Solutions is seeking a dedicated and skilled Staffing Coordinator/Transportation professional.

Job Overview

  • Develop and manage the physician visit schedule, ensuring accurate tracking of admissions, re-admissions, transfers, and discharges on the master floor list.
  • Prior to admissions, review the master floor list and assign residents to designated slots based on floor and physician.
  • Coordinate transportation logistics for external appointments.
  • Ensure timely completion of all necessary forms by physicians, including insurance, housing, and disability paperwork, returning them to the appropriate department.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Medical Director, Director of Nursing, or Administration.
  • Create and distribute schedules for the nursing department, monitor changes, and approve shift trades.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, including call-outs and tardiness, collaborating with HR to uphold attendance policies consistently.
  • Oversee daily PPD monitoring.
  • Manage and reduce staff overtime effectively.
  • Engage with agency staff to fill open shifts as a last resort.
  • Provide detailed reports to the Director of Nursing regarding staffing levels, vacancies, and agency utilization.
  • Keep precise records of all PTO and change requests.
  • Assist with payroll processes and minor HR functions.
  • Support recruitment and onboarding initiatives for new staff members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proven experience as a staffing coordinator in long-term care settings.
  • Background in long-term care, including scheduling, HR, and payroll management.
  • Ensure that all newly credentialed physicians and nurse practitioners are entered into the system promptly upon notification from HR.
  • Document minutes during medical board meetings.
  • Work collaboratively with physicians to ensure timely completion of death certificates.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology is essential.
  • Strong communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with others.
  • Proficient computer skills are required.
  • Coordinate transportation for residents and patients to and from appointments.
  • Arrange transportation for resident and patient discharges.
  • Maintain communication with residents and their families regarding transportation needs.

Compensation: Up to $75,000 annually
