SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Accounting Manager plays a crucial role within Noonday's senior leadership team, responsible for steering a top-tier Accounting and Finance department.

This position oversees all accounting and human resource functions, ensuring precise reporting and compliance while delivering strategic insights to the leadership team.


POSITION LOCATION:

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

GAAP and Tax Financial Management: Supervise all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems to guarantee accuracy and adherence to GAAP standards using QuickBooks Online.

Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closes.

Implement internal audit best practices to safeguard against fraud and inaccuracies.


Management Financial Reporting, Modeling, and Forecasting: Provide support to owners and executive leadership through comprehensive management reporting.

Coordinate financial planning and analysis, including the development of forecasting models.

Examine cash flow and variances, providing insightful commentary.

Maintain oversight of daily accounting operations and ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.

Assist with special projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams, delivering accurate data and managing expenses effectively.


Payroll and Human Resource Management: Direct payroll and benefits administration.

Work with Co-CEO to revise the employee handbook and suggest company benefits.

Support Co-CEO in recruitment and personnel matters.


Accounts Payable and Sales Tax: Ensure the smooth operation of Accounts Payable and Sales Tax reporting.

Oversee wire transfers to Artisan Business Partners.


Purchase Order Tracking, Inventory Accounting, and Inventory Forecasting: Reconcile inventory with internal systems and third-party fulfillment providers.

Conduct financial analysis and provide insights on inventory changes.

Collaborate with the Product Team to monitor purchase order deliveries and ensure inventory accuracy.

Assist the Product Team in forecasting inventory reorder requirements.


Ambassador Compensation and Sales Reporting: Process commissions for Ambassadors and conduct monthly audits.

Generate weekly sales analytics reports and other necessary ad-hoc reports.

Prepare annual 1099 forms and ensure timely filing with the IRS.

Manage monthly and quarterly sales tax reporting.


KEY CUSTOMERS:
Owners (reporting and financial management), Sales Team (analytics), Production (inventory and payments), Ambassadors (commission)

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business administration is required.
Experience in budgeting, financial forecasting, and/or inventory accounting is preferred.
CPA designation is preferred.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Familiarity with QuickBooks Online is advantageous.
Experience in an inventory-driven business is beneficial.
Meticulous attention to detail is essential.
Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
Strong analytical skills for data interpretation.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities.
