General Surgeon Opportunity in Appalachia

Come and be part of a thriving medical practice in the beautiful Appalachian Mountains. We are seeking a skilled General Surgeon to join our established hospital-employed practice.

Our hospital is the only Level III trauma center in the region, with over 40,000 emergency department visits annually. The ideal candidate will perform a full spectrum of general surgery, including minimally invasive procedures. Additionally, there is an opportunity to incorporate wound care with two hyperbaric oxygen chambers and a full-service, award-winning wound care center.

Position Highlights:
  • Join a team of two other General Surgeons in practice
  • Shared ER call with a 1:5 or better ratio
  • Da Vinci Xi Robot available onsite
  • Eight operating rooms in the hospital with flexible block scheduling
  • Two operating rooms in the medical office building across the street from the main campus, focusing on outpatient surgeries
  • Sub-specialty support from Vascular, Orthopedic, ENT, Infectious Disease, Nephrology, Hematology/Oncology, and Pulmonologists
  • Robust hospitalist program in place to reduce admissions and focus on consultations
