Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Project Manager to lead our DevSecOps and Agile IT support services for operational mission support for the systems under the United States Coast Guard (USCG) Aviation Logistics Center (ALC), Information Systems Division (ISD) portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, initiate, and manage IT projects, leading and guiding the work of technical staff and serving as liaison between business and technical aspects of projects.
  • Plan project stages and assess business implications for each stage, monitoring progress to ensure deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met.
  • Consult with clients to ensure conformity to project and contractual obligations, assisting in the analysis, design, and development of new systems and system enhancements.
  • Approve documentation standards, system specifications, feasibility and justification reports, and policy recommendations.
  • Assist in the development and installation of techniques and procedures to implement policy decisions regarding organizational structures, program evaluation, and productivity improvements.
  • Establish and maintain technical and financial reports to show progress of projects to management and customers.
  • Organize and assign responsibilities to subordinates and oversee the successful completion of all assigned IT tasks.
  • Ensure the development, maintenance, and implementation of Program Management Plans and Technical Specifications Plans, documenting guidelines for the performance of all functional and technical activities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or associate degree in Computer Science, Math, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Management, or related field, or at minimum IT Certification (e.g., Project Management Professional (PMP)). Two (2) years' experience is equivalent to one (1) year of education.
  • Two (2) years' experience with change management and process improvements.
  • Familiarity with all phases of the systems development life cycle (identification, design, development, implementation, and maintenance of automated systems).
  • Ability to obtain a favorable Tier 1 for unclassified systems.
  • Experience performing tasks focused on the leadership and/or task management of information systems engineering or systems integration projects preferred.
