About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Health Specialist to join our team at Devereux. As a key member of our residential treatment center, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to children and adolescents with emotional, behavioral, or substance abuse challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care and support to residents, promoting a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Mentor and engage with residents through various activities, such as art projects, music groups, animal therapy, and athletics.
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of programs designed to meet the social, emotional, physical, and personal needs of residents.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as psychology, sociology, or education.
  • Previous experience working with individuals under 21 with psychological, emotional, and behavioral disorders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
