Position Overview:


The Employee Benefits Administrator is tasked with managing employee benefits, which include health/welfare and 401k plans. This role involves assisting employees with benefits enrollment and inquiries, verifying and processing insurance billing, maintaining employee records, and ensuring compliance with necessary benefit notifications.

This position addresses benefits-related issues and promotes effective utilization of plans while maintaining positive employee relations.

Key Responsibilities:
Administers health and welfare plans, including enrollments, modifications, and terminations. Processes necessary documentation through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and appropriate deductions. Reconciles benefits statements.

Manages the 401k plan, including enrollments, modifications, and terminations. Processes required documents through payroll and the 401k provider to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions. Additional responsibilities may include compiling annual census data, assisting with 401k audits, and filing Form 5500.

Handles disability, FMLA, and Paid Family Leave claims.

Responds to frequently asked questions from applicants and employees regarding standard policies and benefits.

Maintains the confidentiality and integrity of human resource files and records.

Conducts orientations for health and 401(k) plans.

Oversees COBRA Administration.

Performs periodic audits of vendor billing and HRIS records.

Undertakes other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Associate's degree in human resources or a related field, or equivalent experience preferred.

3-5 years of relevant experience preferred.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Excellent interpersonal and customer service abilities.

Solid understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures.

Extensive knowledge of employee benefits and applicable regulations.

Exceptional time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and occasionally stressful environment.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
