Job Summary

The Mixing Technician will be responsible for operating the epoxy mix station. Based on department shift station demand, mechanically measure, and dispense precise mix ratios of two or more epoxy part kits. Each mixed pot container will be properly labeled with safety, time expiration, and mix ratio information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Learn to be proficient in operating the mix station
  • Understand the demand of what type and volume of mix is required
  • Ensure the mix ratios are accurate
  • Label each completed pot mix with proper safety, time, and mix ratio information
  • Track and monitor mix ratios, start and mix times, and issued out quantities
  • Retrieve unused or expired pot mixes from point-of-use stations
  • Monitor the maintenance and upkeep of the mix station
  • Provide technical support, including preventive maintenance, problem identification and resolution, and maximization of material use
  • Interface with internal customers to create process efficiencies
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and set goals for achievement
  • Perform analytical testing on materials
  • Make recommendations regarding material usage, concentrations, recycling, product substitutions, and selection
  • Evaluate mechanical processes in relation to utilization of materials
  • Understand customers' material use in manufacturing processes and provide appropriate recommendations
  • Work with EHS Departments to ensure compliance with regulatory and environmental standards
  • Perform hard count inventories as required
  • Receive and monitor product deliveries and submit proper paperwork as required
  • Label all secondary containers with appropriate GHS labels
  • Work with customers to ensure all Chemico controlled areas are kept clean
Requirements
  • High school/GED required
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Computer proficiency with the ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and the internet
  • Familiarity with other software applications
