Role Responsibilities
We are seeking a full-time Access Clinician to join our Access team. The ideal candidate will hold a valid license as a psychologist, Master's social worker, counselor, or possess a related behavioral health certification. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting emergency evaluations and delivering crisis stabilization interventions;
- Performing assessments to establish service eligibility and providing preliminary diagnoses and care level determinations for developmental disabilities, mental health issues, and substance use disorders.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Master's or PhD program in Psychology, Social Work, Guidance and Counseling, or a closely related behavioral health discipline;
- Current licensure or certification in the State of Michigan as a psychologist (Limited Psychologist / LLP), social worker (Masters Social Worker / MSW), counselor (Licensed Counselor / LPC), or a similar behavioral health field;
- Relevant postgraduate experience in addressing severe and persistent mental health conditions, serious emotional disturbances, developmental disabilities, and/or substance use challenges.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary for this position ranges from $64,467 to $83,265, depending on years of service with the agency, based on a 37.5-hour workweek.
The benefits package includes:
- A generous paid leave policy, accruing approximately 24.5 days in the first year, with increases based on tenure;
- Scheduled annual salary increments after the first year of employment;
- Fourteen paid holidays per year, effective from the first day of employment;
- Eligibility for comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance from the start of employment, with significant coverage provided by the agency.
Additional benefits include a medical insurance opt-out payment for those with alternative coverage, retirement benefits starting on the first day, and long-term disability and life insurance after 91 days of employment.
LCMHA also participates in various student debt relief programs, including the HRSA Loan Repayment Program and MDHHS Behavioral Health Loan Repayment Program, with eligibility determined by the respective programs.
