Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Psychologist to join our team at Lenawee Community Mental Health Authority. The successful candidate will possess a Master's degree in Psychology and licensure or certification by the State of Michigan.

The Behavioral Psychologist will coordinate and participate in the delivery of behavioral psychology services, including training staff and serving as a technical advisor. The ideal candidate will have education and demonstrated competency in assessment, crisis management, and stabilization, as well as therapeutic care for cognitively impaired adults and individuals with substance use disorders.

The annualized salary for this position ranges from $64,467 to $83,265, based on a 37-1/2 hour work week. The benefits package includes a generous paid leave benefit, paid holidays, and comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.

The Behavioral Psychologist will work closely with the Management Team and administration to develop and communicate program outcomes and a plan to achieve the identified outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct functional behavioral analysis assessments, including clinical observations, data gathering/review, and recommended behavioral interventions.
  • Consult with staff regarding implementation of behavioral programs, reviewing staff documentation for client functioning and revising programs as necessary.
  • Train staff in the use of behavior modification techniques.
  • Provide ongoing Utilization Management duties, including authorization of services, ensuring medical necessity, and discharge planning when appropriate.
