Special Education Aide

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Special Education Paraprofessional. As a member of our team, you will work closely with special needs students, providing them with the physical help and emotional support they need to thrive.
About the Role:
This is a unique opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of students with special needs. You will be part of a dedicated team that is passionate about providing a high-quality education and ensuring that every student has the opportunity to succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist students with physical tasks as directed by the supervisor, assigned teacher, or principal.
* Provide reinforcement to students in areas such as reading, math, science, and social studies, or other areas including activities of daily living as directed by the supervisor.
* Support the teacher in methods, materials, and strategies for reinforcements on target children.
* Collect data as assigned by teachers or ancillary service providers.
* Aid the teacher in communication between home and school when requested.
* Participate in ongoing staff development.
* Help plan scheduling to meet the needs of students.
* Communicate regularly with teachers regarding student needs and progress.
* Maintain confidentiality regarding all information about the school, teachers, children, and their families.
Requirements:
* Associates Degree, 60 hours of college credits, or proof of passage of the Paraprofessional Test.
* Successful experience working with children preferred.
* High School diploma required.
Compensation:
This position offers a competitive salary range of $40,000 - $50,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits.
