Position Overview

The primary objective of this role is to acquire and refine the skills necessary for practicing pharmacy in the United States, while also fulfilling the state-mandated pharmacist intern hours.

All tasks and responsibilities will be performed under the guidance of a licensed Pharmacist.

Key Responsibilities

Receive customer and prescription details, including refill requests, from clients and healthcare providers.

Process customer prescriptions accurately.

Assist clients with health-related inquiries and provide appropriate healthcare advice.

Communicate with healthcare professionals and utilize reference materials to gather information on clients and prescriptions, resolving any issues that may arise.

Familiarize yourself with Rite Aid's computer systems; enter customer and prescription information into the database.

5%

Ensure efficient service in the Pharmacy department by assisting customers and managing the cash register.

5%

Maintain knowledge of over-the-counter medications.

5%

Review and comprehend the company's policies and procedures.

5%

Help maintain the Pharmacy department's cleanliness and organization.

5%

Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and will-calls to clients.

5%

Complete quality assurance tasks in accordance with state and federal Board of Pharmacy regulations.

Qualifications

Compensation: $21.00/hour

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required.
