Job Summary

Forrest General Hospital seeks a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional care to our patients under the supervision of the RN/LPN, ensuring a high level of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Obtain and record patient vital signs, weights, intake, and output as needed.
  • Maintain patient dignity and respect while transferring and positioning patients.
  • Notify the nurse of any skin color or integrity concerns, and accurately use and operate assigned equipment.
  • Deliver care with respect, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to the We CARE philosophy.
  • Complete walking rounds with the oncoming shift and include patients in shift change reports.
Qualifications:
  • Diploma/GED required.
  • Certified Nurse Aid Certificate preferred.
  • Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of employment.
  • 6 months of CNA or Nurse Aide/Healthcare experience preferred.
