Critical Care Nurse for Deployed Medical Facilities

We are seeking a seasoned Critical Care Nurse to join our team in supporting healthcare services in challenging environments. As a Critical Care Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and treatment in austere medical facilities.
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to utilize your clinical expertise and experience in critical care settings to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and staff alike. You will be responsible for providing medical services at the scope and level of a registered nurse to preserve the health of employees and client personnel.
Responsibilities:
- Implementing treatment plans and options for various life-threatening medical conditions.
- Utilizing and understanding how to use various medical devices, such as catheters and feeding tubes.
- Able to operate life support systems including medication and equipment.
- Records and maintains patient information in accordance with standard protocol, and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
- Protects patients' privacy through confidentiality, infection control procedures, assuring consistent medication administration, and assuring proper storage and maintenance procedures for all equipment and supplies.
- Participate as a medical escort for employees being transported off base by ground or flight.
- Thoroughly exercises skill in initiative, judgment, problem-solving and decision-making daily.
- Makes independent judgments and prioritizes workload.
- Must be able to perform duties in a stressful and fast-paced environment.
- Attends and participates in all hospital exercises, group activities and meetings.
- Pursues professional development activities and continuing education to ensure currency with present practices and trends in healthcare and specifically in the practice of emergency medical treatment.
- Cross-train to work in clinics as needed.
Qualifications:
- Requires an associate degree from an accredited nursing school. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.
- Hold and maintain an active and unrestricted Nursing License and the ability to be favorably credentialed.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Registered Nurse with at least 1 year of ER experience.
- Additional clinical experience in ICU or OR preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and ACLS certification required.
- Must be able to multi-task, be detail-oriented, be organized and have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Proficiency with computer and common office equipment.
- All healthcare providers and medical support staff must have a recent clinical experience in patient care for at least 6 months out of the past year.
- Must have a current passport.
Salary Range:$120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience
