Operating Room Nurse Deployment Opportunity to the Marshall Islands

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room (OR) Nurse to join our team in deploying to the Marshall Islands. This is a unique opportunity to work with a global presence and be part of a broad range of services.

Job Summary:

An OR Nurse will provide professional nursing care to patients undergoing surgery. The role involves preparing and maintaining the operating room for all surgical procedures, circulating and scrubbing for surgical procedures, and responding to surgical emergencies such as cardiac, pulmonary, or respiratory failure and hemorrhage.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience in OR nursing, a current unrestricted U.S. state license as a Registered Nurse, and maintain current certifications including Basic Life Support (BLS) and/or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology, Inc. (CBIC/CIC).

Responsibilities:
  • Practice their specialty based on demand in their work setting
  • Promotes and restores patients' health by completing the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary professional staff; providing physical and psychological support for patients, friends, and families; and supervising assigned team members
  • Identifies patient care requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual patients and other persons in a position to understand service requirements
  • Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional and psychological support to patients, friends, and families
  • Promotes patient's independence by establishing patient care goals; teaching and counseling patient, friends, and family and reinforcing their understanding of disease, medications, and self-care skills; answering questions
  • Assures quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards; measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and standards; making or recommending necessary adjustments; following hospital and nursing division's philosophies and standards of care set by the state board of nursing; State Nurse Practice Act, and other governing agency regulations
  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; calls for assistance from health care support personnel
  • Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations
  • Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records

The salary for this position is approximately $ 90,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid time off, and holidays.
