Overview:
The Team Supervisor collaborates with the management team to deliver leadership, enthusiasm, and integrity, driving the company's Mission, Vision, and Values.
This role focuses on executing the MVV, being results-oriented, and ensuring team development while providing an outstanding customer experience.
The Team Supervisor should embody a friendly, positive, and helpful demeanor, demonstrating teamwork and respect for all colleagues and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guarantee that every customer enjoys an exceptional experience by fostering a welcoming and helpful atmosphere, which includes greeting and engaging every customer, upholding high standards, showcasing solid product knowledge, and adhering to the company's customer service guidelines.
- In partnership with management, train and mentor associates in all business aspects to ensure they possess the skills and product knowledge necessary for delivering a consistent, exceptional customer experience.
- Adapt management style and approach to specific situations to achieve desired outcomes.
- Promote a respectful work environment for all associates.
- Effectively manage staff to maintain an outstanding customer experience.
- Ensure a clean and safe working environment, including fixtures, shelves, backroom, restrooms, and sales floor, in accordance with company policies.
- Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures through management, including maintaining a clean uniform that follows the company dress code.
- Maintain appropriate merchandise stock levels, quality, and presentation, ensuring signage is current and displayed correctly.
- Oversee accurate product inventory, including on-hand counts and timely receipt of goods.
- Utilize and understand POS systems and computer systems, including cash management, opening and closing tills, appropriate markdowns, customer returns, and sign creation.
Qualifications:
- Passion for horticulture, home décor, and seasonal merchandise.
- Exceptional leadership qualities while remaining approachable, confident, and knowledgeable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Aptitude for training and developing sales associates.
- Time-management skills and the ability to multitask.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Capacity to adapt and change based on specific situations.
- Ability to interpret documents such as reports, training materials, and operations manuals.
- Preferred knowledge in horticulture.
- Familiarity with personal computers, POS systems, and various software packages is preferred.
