We are seeking a highly skilled Medication Technician to join our team at Stonefield Assisted Living and Memory Care. As a Medication Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective administration of medications to our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Medication Administration: Administer medications and treatments to residents according to scheduled times and medication administration protocols.
- Confidentiality: Maintain the confidentiality of resident and employee information.
- Communication: Notify Resident Care Coordinator/Executive Director/RN of resident changes in condition.
- Record Keeping: Assist with monthly medication records as needed.
- Med Room Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and restocking of the Med room and Med cart.
- Equipment Knowledge: Have knowledge of and be able to demonstrate proper technique for using various medical equipment, including gait belts, transfer boards, oxygen equipment, and more.
- Vital Signs: Take accurate vital signs and weights.
- Administrative Support: Fill in for the receptionist and assist with care needs of residents, including lifting requirements up to 40 pounds.
- Manager on Duty: Work as manager on duty as directed by Executive Director/Resident Care Coordinator.
- Professional Development: Keep current on First Aid/CPR and Medication Administration skills.
- Education: High school graduate preferred.
- Language: Proficiency in English required.
- Training: Attends in-services monthly required for position.
- Experience: Has familiarity and willingness to work with the elderly population. Previous experience preferred, but not necessary. We are willing to train
