About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Software Engineering Manager II to lead our Embedded Systems/Firmware team. As a key member of our Technical Infrastructure team, you'll be responsible for designing, guiding, and vetting systems designs within the scope of our broader area.

As a technical leader, you'll set clear expectations with individuals based on their level and role, aligned to our broader organization's goals. You'll meet regularly with individuals to discuss performance and development, providing feedback and coaching to ensure they're meeting their objectives.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, with experience in embedded operating systems and a proven track record of leading technical teams. You'll be responsible for developing the mid-term technical vision and roadmap within the scope of your team(s), evolving the roadmap to meet anticipated future requirements and infrastructure needs.

Responsibilities
  • Set and communicate team priorities that support our broader organization's goals.
  • Align strategy, processes, and decision-making across teams.
  • Design, guide, and vet systems designs within the scope of our broader area.
  • Write product or system development code to solve ambiguous problems.
  • Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $185,000-$283,000, plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
