Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and treat a wide range of emergency medical conditions, including severe injuries and illnesses.
  • Stabilize patients and coordinate care with specialists to ensure the best possible outcomes.
  • Educate patients on follow-up care and provide guidance on managing their conditions.

Requirements
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of residency in emergency medicine, with a focus on critical care.
  • Board certification in emergency medicine, with expertise in critical care.
  • Strong decision-making and crisis management skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Salary: The estimated annual salary for this role is $250,000 to $300,000, depending on experience and qualifications. This is a competitive salary range for critical care specialists in New York.
