Radiology Image Reading Room Coordinator Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiology Image Reading Room Coordinator to join our team at the Commonwealth of Virginia. As a key member of our radiology department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of our imaging services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that quality assurance activities are comprehensive, coordinated, and include review and reporting of appropriate information.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate cooperatively within the team to efficiently fulfill the goals and responsibilities of the department.
  • Teaching and Learning: Participate in various teaching and/or learning opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and oversee data reflected in reports of mis-dictations, preliminary, and final radiological reports.
  • Corrective Action: Implement corrective action when problems or opportunities are identified.
  • Monitoring: Monitor physician reading rooms to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Departmental Support: Support and participate in departmental focus groups to promote continuous improvement.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school graduate or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Experience: 1 year relevant experience required.
  • Licensure: None required.
Physical Demands:

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job may occasionally require traveling to attend meetings and programs.
